🧩 TPC-ET (COPE) – Thermoplastic Copolyester Elastomer

(A high-performance technical material combining the elasticity of rubber with the strength and thermal stability of polyesters. Known as COPE, it offers exceptional resistance to oils, fuel, mechanical fatigue, and heat up to 180 °C.)

🔹 What is TPC-ET (COPE)

TPC-ET consists of rigid PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) segments and soft polyether segments. At ReplastMD, we treat it as the “heavy-duty” TPE. This structure provides permanent elasticity, dimensional stability, and superior chemical resistance compared to styrene-based or olefinic elastomers. It is the go-to material for high-stress automotive applications like CV boots, high-pressure hoses, and flexible connectors.

🔧 Composition & Properties

  • Polymer Base: PBT Segments (~60%) + Polyether Segments (~40%).
  • Density: ~ 1.18 – 1.25 g/cm³.
  • Operating Range: Constant use up to +180 °C.
  • Visuals: Elastic, smooth, semi-glossy; black, grey, or translucent milky white.
  • Chemical Group: Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomers.
