(Rigid-elastic olefinic material from the TPO family, modified with 30% talc powder to increase dimensional stability, rigidity, and thermal resistance while maintaining good flexibility)
🔹 What is TPO-TD30
TPO-TD30 (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) is a blend of polypropylene (PP) and olefinic elastomer (EPDM). The TD30 version contains approximately 30% fine talc dispersed in the matrix, offering a superior combination of mechanical strength and controlled flexibility. It withstands temperatures between -40 °C and +110 °C, has low water absorption, and excellent UV stability. It is a standard choice for fender liners, engine covers, and exterior protections in modern vehicles.

🧠 How to Identify
Common Markings: >TPO-TD30<, >PP-EPDM-TD30<, >TPE-O-TD30<
Texture: Semi-rigid, matte, light grey or black
Weight: Slightly heavier than standard TPO (due to talc density)
Flame Test: Burns with a clean flame, faint polypropylene smell, white-grey ash

Observations
Hot Air
230 – 250 °C
Ideal – TPO / PP-EPDM-T30 rod
Heat plate (Mirror)
220 – 240 °C
Uniform, watertight bonding
Extrusion
230 – 250 °C
Recommended for high thicknesses
💡 ReplastMD Recommendation: use TPO or PP-EPDM-T30 welding rods, clean with isopropyl alcohol, and avoid overheating. Note that talc increases thermal conductivity, so ensure even heat distribution.
