🧩 TPE-O-TD30 – 30% Talc Filled Olefinic Elastomer

(Stiffened olefinic elastomeric material, resulting from the blend of elastic polyolefins (TPE-O) with 30% fine talc (TD30) for a combination of elasticity, controlled rigidity, and dimensional stability)

🔹 What is TPE-O-TD30

TPE-O-TD30 is part of the olefinic elastomer (TPE-O) family — hybrid materials between TPO and TPE that combine the flexibility of rubber with the processability of thermoplastics.

The addition of 30% talc makes it more rigid and stable while maintaining good impact and cold resistance. It is frequently used for wheel arch liners, shields, and underbody protections where a semi-flexible, shock-resistant material is required that maintains its shape under heat and vibration. Similar markings include TD20, TD40, PP-TPO-TD30, or P/E-I-TD30.

MethodTemperatureObservations
Hot Air230 – 250 °CRecommended – TPO / TPE-O rod
Heat plate (Mirror)220 – 240 °CClean bond, no deformation
Extrusion230 – 250 °CIdeal for thick shields and liners

💡 ReplastMD Recommendation: use TPO or TPE-O welding rods; clean the surface thoroughly and apply constant air flow with low pressure.
