🧩 PP-TD20 – 20% Talc Filled Polypropylene

(Rigid semi-crystalline material based on Polypropylene (PP) filled with 20% talc (TD20))

🔹 What is PP-TD20

PP-TD20 is one of the most common compositions in the automotive industry for exterior and interior parts, as well as technical housings, offering a very good balance of rigidity, weight, thermal stability, and cost.

It is a medium-mineralized material (20% fine talc) with good mechanical strength, low shrinkage, and a uniform surface, while maintaining high processability through injection molding. Compared to PP-TD10 or PP-TD30 variants, it offers the most balanced combination of stiffness, elasticity, and weight.

🛠️ PP-TD20 Welding at ReplastMD

MethodTemperatureObservations
Hot Air230 – 250 °CRecommended – Plain PP or PP-TD20 rod
Heat plate (Mirror)220 – 240 °CClean, uniform bonding
Extrusion230 – 250 °CFor long and thick cracks

💡 ReplastMD Recommendation: use PP-TD20 or pure PP welding rods, clean with isopropyl alcohol, and maintain constant air flow.
