🔹 What is PLA+ProtoPasta
PLA+ProtoPasta is a technical bio-based compound made of Polylactic Acid (PLA) and 5–20% micronized carbon fiber. At ReplastMD, we treat this as a high-performance aesthetic material. It produces a rigid, dimensionally stable plastic with a professional matte finish and low weight. While it is partially biodegradable, its reinforcement makes it a structural powerhouse for interior automotive components.

- Polymer Base: Bio-Polylactic Acid (PLA).
- Reinforcement: Micronized carbon fiber (5–20%).
- Density: 1.20 – 1.25 g/cm³.
- Melting Point: 190 – 220 °C.

🔧 Welding Temperature and Methods

💡 ReplastMD Recommendation: PLA+ProtoPasta does not weld thermally because the carbon fiber prevents proper melt cohesion. We recommend structural epoxy bonding, carbon fiber resin reinforcement, or mechanical fastening for all repairs.
