🧩 PHA+PBAT – Flexible Compostable Bio-Polymer

(A biodegradable and compostable blend of Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) and Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate (PBAT). Designed for applications requiring flexibility, impact resistance, and rapid degradation in natural environments.)

🔹 What is PHA+PBAT

PHA+PBAT is a next-generation eco-hybrid. At ReplastMD, we treat it as a high-performance bio-elastomer. While PHA provides chemical resistance and moderate rigidity, PBAT adds the flexibility and toughness typically associated with low-density polyethylene (PE). It is an excellent choice for interior covers, gaskets, and non-structural decorative components that need to be soft yet durable.

🔧 Composition & Properties

  • Polymer Base: PHA (40–60%) + PBAT (40–60%).
  • Density: ~ 1.23–1.27 g/cm³.
  • Processing Temp: 160 – 180 °C.
  • Chemical Group: Natural and synthetic polyesters.
  • Scent: Light sweet vegetal scent when heated.
