🔹 What is PEEK+TPU
PEEK+TPU is a semi-crystalline-elastomeric blend created by combining rigid, heat-resistant PEEK with flexible TPU. The result is a material capable of sustaining heavy loads and high temperatures while absorbing shocks and vibrations without cracking. It offers a perfect balance for dynamic fittings and seals in automotive, industrial, and medical fields.
🔧 Composition & Properties
- Base: 60–80% PEEK.
- Elastomer: 20–40% TPU.
- Density: 1.28–1.35 g/cm³.
- Melting Point: ≈ 330–340 °C.
- Chemical Resistance: Very good (oils, solvents, fuels).
- Continuous Heat Resistance: 200–230 °C.

🔩 Material Compatibility
- ✅ Compatible: PEEK, PEEK+GF, PEI, PSU, TPU, TPEE.
- ⚠️ Good Compatibility: PPS, PPS+PEI, PPA.
- ❌ Incompatible: PP, PE, PS, ABS, PC, PET (completely different melting points).
💡 ReplastMD Recommendation: Use PEEK or rigid TPU rods at 370 °C. Slow, controlled heating prevents the separation of PEEK and TPU phases. Uniform cooling results in a durable bond with an elastic-matte finish.
🧠 How to Identify PEEK+TPU
- Engraved marking: >PEEK+TPU<, >VESTAKEEP<, >TECAPEEK ELS<.
- Texture: Semi-glossy, slightly soft to the touch compared to pure PEEK.
- ReplastMD practical test: Rigid yet slightly elastic; does not warp under 250 °C. Burns with a faint ketone/urethane scent.
