🔹 What is PEEK+Glass+PTFE
PEEK+Glass+PTFE (reinforced with glass fiber and Teflon®) is a premium tribological composite. Glass fibers provide the necessary structural rigidity, while PTFE reduces the friction coefficient and enhances wear resistance and self-lubrication. It is the ultimate choice for moving parts, guides, and seals operating continuously up to 250–270 °C.
🔧 Composition & Properties
- Base: 70–75% PEEK, 10–15% Glass Fiber, 10–15% PTFE (Teflon®).
- Density: 1.47–1.52 g/cm³.
- Melting Point: ≈ 343 °C.
- Friction Coefficient: Very low (μ ≈ 0.10–0.15).
- Continuous Heat Resistance: 250–270 °C.

🔩 Material Compatibility
- ✅ Compatible: PEEK, PEEK+GF, PEEK+PTFE, PPS, PPSU, PES, PEI, PSU.
- ⚠️ Good Compatibility: PEEK+PEI, PEEK+GF30, PPS+PTFE.
- ❌ Incompatible: PP, PE, PS, ABS, PC, PET (completely different melting points).
💡 ReplastMD Recommendation: Use PEEK+PTFE or pure PEEK rods at 380 °C. Uniform heating is crucial — PTFE may separate at the surface if overheated. Cool naturally without forced air to prevent fine cracking.
🧠 How to Identify PEEK+Glass+PTFE
- Engraved marking: >PEEK+GF+PTFE<, >PEEK PVX<, >450FC30<, >TECAPEEK PVX<.
- Texture: Semi-glossy, smooth, with a grayish-blue tint.
- ReplastMD practical test: Very rigid, but feels slippery to the touch. Does not soften under 260 °C; burns with a clean flame and neutral scent.
