🔹 What is PEEK+FR
PEEK+FR is a modified version of standard PEEK containing halogen-free flame retardants. It shares the same high-end properties as pure PEEK but does not support combustion and forms a protective charred layer when exposed to flame. It is considered one of the safest technical materials for critical applications where toxic gas emission and fire spread must be prevented.

- Flame Retardants: 5–15% (halogen-free).
- Density: 1.35–1.38 g/cm³.
- Melting Point: ≈ 340 °C.

🔩 Material Compatibility
- ✅ Compatible: PEEK, PEEK+GF, PEEK+HT, PPS, PPSU, PES, PEI.
- ⚠️ Good Compatibility: PPS+PEI, PPA, PEEK+PA.
- ❌ Incompatible: PP, PE, PS, ABS, PC, PET (completely different melting points).
💡 ReplastMD Recommendation: Use PEEK or PEEK+FR rods at 380 °C. Heat slowly and uniformly to avoid oxidizing the flame-retardant additives. Allow the part to cool naturally to maintain UL94 V-0 ratings.
🧠 How to Identify PEEK+FR
- Engraved marking: >PEEK+FR<, >VESTAKEEP FR<, >VICTREX FR<.
- Texture: Matte, smooth, light gray or technical black.
- ReplastMD practical test: The flame extinguishes immediately without drops or black smoke. Does not warp under 270 °C.
