🔹 What is PA9T

PA9T (Polyamide 9T) is a semi-crystalline polymer with an aromatic structure (benzene ring) that grants it exceptional thermal stability and very low water absorption compared to PA6 and PA66. It is capable of constant operation at temperatures up to 150–180 °C, maintaining its rigidity and mechanical properties.

🔩 Material Compatibility

  • Compatible: PA9T+GF, PA6T, PA10T, PPA (Polyphthalamide).
  • ⚠️ Partially Compatible: PA66-GF, PA6-GF (requires controlled temperature).
  • Incompatible: PP, PE, ABS, PC (thermally and chemically incompatible).

💡 ReplastMD Recommendation: Use PA9T-GF30 or PPA HTN rods. Maintain uniform airflow and avoid overheating above 330 °C, which causes browning and a strong odor.

🧠 How to Identify PA9T

  • Engraved marking: >PA9T<, >PA9T-GF30<, >HTN-9T<, >Amodel-9T<.
  • Color: Deep black or dark grey, matte surface.
  • Density: ~1.45–1.60 g/cm³ (fiber reinforced).
  • ReplastMD practical test: If the part does not visibly absorb water and remains rigid under high heat, it is confirmed PA9T.
