🧩 PA6-MX GF30 – Aromatic Polyamide modified with 30% Glass Fiber

PA6-MX GF30 is a high-performance aromatic polyamide derived from PA6 modified with meta-xylylenediamine (MXD6) and reinforced with 30% glass fiber. This compound combines the rigidity and dimensional stability of aromatic polyamides with the superior mechanical strength provided by glass fiber, resulting in an extremely durable material, ideal for structural automotive components, housings, fittings, and technical parts with high thermal requirements.

🔹 What is PA6-MX GF30 PA6-MX GF30 belongs to the family of reinforced aromatic polyamides, having a tensile strength over 120 MPa and a Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of over 230 °C. Due to the MXD6 structure, it absorbs 3–4 times less moisture than standard PA6, maintaining dimensional tolerances in humid environments or under thermal variations. It is primarily used for automotive components located in the engine compartment, as well as for electrical or mechanical parts exposed to oils, fuels, and constant pressures.

🔩 Welding Compatibility

  • PA6-MX, PA6-MX GF, PA6, PA66: ✅ Compatible (Hot air or heat plate welding).
  • PA12, PA11, PPA: ⚠️ Partially compatible – melting point differences.
  • PP, PE, PBT, PVC: ❌ Incompatible chemically and thermally.

🛠️ Welding PA6-MX GF30 at ReplastMD

  • Hot Air: 270 – 290 °C (Requires preheating to avoid cracking).
  • Heat Plate: ✅ Ideal (Smooth joint without voids).
  • Extrusion / PA6-MX GF Rod: ✅ Recommended (Use the same type of rod for consistency).
  • Ultrasonic / Vibrational: ⚠️ Efficient on thin parts, fine-tuning required.
